Did you know Chris Pratt was portraying Mario in the upcoming Mario movie?

Of course you did. He’s voicing every animated character in every movie ever from now.

In fact, I’m worried that I might accidentally be muted on one of my Zoom calls, and Chris Pratt will fill in and voice me.

The cast also includes Charlie Day as Luigi, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach… Which is a lucky coincidence that I brought her up because this article just so happens to be about her.

Speaking to Anya about her recent viking flick, The Northman, I asked her about her stint as the video game princess, to which she said “It is so much fun, and it’s so much fun to be able to play Mario as research.

“I get to say I’m doing homework by reading books, watching movies, and now playing video games,” she continued.

She didn’t give anything away about her Peach voice, after Chris Pratt (hopefully) joked that he was going to use his every day, normal voice to portray Mario.

Anya, if you’re reading this, all I’m saying is that I will fill in for you, and don a cute little pink dress if you want to throw a sickie for a day or two…
