(Okay, no-one’s actually been complaining about the image – I just really wanted a tabloid-esque title for this article. It’ll all make sense later.)

Ever since it was announced that tonnes of geniuses used all of their creative wisdom to come up with the imaginative title Solo: A Star Wars Story to name their Star Wars story based on Han Solo, I’ve been waiting for new details with baited breath.

There’s been plenty of drama around the Star Wars spin-off, what with Ron Howard replacing directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, but now it looks like someone at Hawkins Theatre is going to face a serious Force choke.

And to think – Hawkins has only just got over Demodogs and Shadow Monsters. (See, I watch Stranger Things too, but the title Video Streaming Services Dweeb just wasn’t as catchy.)

One eagle-eyed fan shared a snap of a promotional cup he got from a local cinema in Arizona, which features a lot of illustrations from upcoming movies, including a very Han Solo-looking Alden.

The cup doesn’t just feature the Hail, Ceasar! star, but also shows [from left to right] Eddie Redmayne and Katherine Waterston as Newt Scamander and Tina Goldstein in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel, Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, James McAvoy and Emily Blunt’s characters, Gnomeo and Juliet, in Sherlock Gnomes, Zoe Saldana as Gamora for Avengers: Infinity War, and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool next Zazie Beetz as Domino.

Now short of me spending a fortune on flights to the southwestern US state, Arizona, there’s not much knowing as to whether the images on the cup are real, or if someone just has way too much time on their hands. Many believe this to be fake, as Alden’s face on the cup looks identical to that from the original cast image released around the announcement of the movie.

Star Wars

So – what I’m trying to say is – if the imagery on the cup is fake, what I’ve done is really wasted your time. You’re welcome.
