“Leaked Credits” Tease Star-Studded Appearances In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

I don’t want to quote ex-POTUS, Donald Trump, too often, so when I say this, know it pained me, but… The internet is full of fake news.

(Thank God that was the only quote of his I recited, otherwise I could have been cancelled in a blink of an eye.)

Naturally, when I saw someone post an apparent leaked still of the credits to the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, you best believe I nearly tapped on it so hard that my thumb went through the screen.

Thankfully, I didn’t get too excited, because I would have been charging on Twitter user for my phone repairs.

I saw MCUverse post a supposed list of cast members starring, which included the confirmed Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen and Benedict Wong playing their famed Marvel characters, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch and Wong, respectively.

Following the recent star-studded Multiverse scenes in No Way Home, which saw Spider-Man characters appearing in the MCU from other universes – such as Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx’s Electro and other iterations of Spider-Man – many fans have been speculating that this trend will continue in other upcoming films.

But no-one – literally, fucking no-one – would be expecting this cast.

The clearly fake leak implied that the likes of Ben Affleck’s Daredevil and Ian McKellen’s Magneto will make appearances, from their various films. That’s not the most unlikely thing, however.

As we continue, we see Tom Cruise starring as Iron Man (who was, admittedly, considered for the role before Robert Downey Jr,) Leonardo DiCaprio as another variant of Spider-Man (which I would inject directly into my veins) and Sabrina Carpenter as Gwen Stacy. (Unfortunately, I’ve not got anything witty to put in brackets here.)

To add insult to injury – like when someone wrote “knobhead” on my broken arm cast – the credits also referred to characters from entirely different properties, like Ben Stiller’s Larry Daley from Night at the Museum and Debby Ryan’s Jessie Prescott from the Disney Channel Original Series of the same name.

I mean, I’m not mad. I’d rather be proved wrong and find out that this cast is, in fact, 100% true. Imagine. Just imagine.
