It’s not every day your interview opens with two major DC stars casually calling you a c***… But here we are. While chatting with Peacemaker duo Jennifer Holland and Frank Grillo, I dared to remind them that Jennifer said, in the show, here in the UK, that infamous four-letter word can actually be a term of endearment. “Thank you,” Jennifer smiled sweetly. “I’m so glad to be your favourite C-word.”
That, my friends, is what we call cultural exchange.
Look, it’s not every day you get verbally obliterated by Peacemaker’s finest, but if you’re going to be called a c***, let it be by Frank Grillo and Jennifer Holland, while they’re giggling through it like two kids who’ve just discovered swearing. 10/10 would get roasted again.
Harcourt vs Rick Flag Sr.: Who Wins?
Things didn’t stay civil for long. Once I asked who would win in a fight between Harcourt and Rick Flag Sr., the claws (and egos) came out. “I would say me,” Frank started, “but it’s not going to be without a lot of pain.” Jennifer, ever the diplomat, said it “depends on the situation,” but even she seemed unsure if she could take on her co-star.

That said, Frank gave Jennifer her flowers. “She’s a badass. Forget about Frank Grillo… I’ve seen her do things on screen. There’s a lot of dudes I’d rather fight than her.” High praise coming from the guy who’s played more action heroes than Chris Evans has worn Captain America suits.
I sided with Jennifer. Obviously. Because if anyone’s going to sweep the leg, it’s her.
And speaking of injuries, Frank revealed he’s still dealing with one from The Purge: Anarchy. “I tore my knee up pretty bad,” he said. “I probably need a new knee.” Which, of course, I immediately suggested Jennifer target in their hypothetical brawl. Sorry, Frank. The knee’s going down.
The Chaos of the Peacemaker Group Chat
If you thought Peacemaker was unhinged on screen, wait until you hear about the cast group chat. Jennifer confirmed that the 11th Street Kids WhatsApp thread is pure chaos. “It’s total nonsense,” she laughed. “Merman emojis… Cookie decapitations… Lots of trolling.”
Cookies? Yes. Cookies. Apparently, some cast members were gifted biscuits with their faces printed on them. “I didn’t get one of these, by the way,” Jennifer said, throwing HBO Max firmly under the bus. “But people were biting off each other’s heads and sending the photos around.”

Needless to say, I demanded to be added. “Send me your number,” Jennifer said. “You’re in.” We even floated the idea of our own group chat. Who needs Steve Agee or Danielle Brooks when you’ve got three snack-deprived weirdos with WiFi?
What to Expect From Peacemaker Season Two
Now let’s get serious for a second (don’t worry, not too serious). Peacemaker season two is right around the corner, and if this interview proved anything, it’s that the cast are as chaotic and tight-knit as ever. The new season promises even more madness, mayhem, and morally questionable justice.
Jennifer returns as Emilia Harcourt, the tough-as-nails agent with emotional depth bubbling beneath the surface. Frank Grillo joins the DCU as Rick Flag Sr., and if his on-screen injury list is half as bad as the real ones, he’s in for a brutal time.

Season two is rumoured to dig deeper into the aftermath of the original team’s messy mission, while introducing new threats, including the potential crossover fallout from The Suicide Squad.
James Gunn has once again promised a series full of heart, humour, and inappropriate helmet-based weaponry. And if Frank and Jennifer’s energy is anything to go by? Season two is going to be absolutely unhinged… In the best way.
