It looks like The Boys creator Eric Kripke is on a mission to complete his personal Supernatural Pokédex! After successfully recruiting Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler, Kripke has his sights set on bringing Jared Padalecki into the chaotic, R-rated world of Vought International.

In a recent interview with The Movie Dweeb, Kripke was asked about the long-standing fan speculation over when (not if) Padalecki would join The Boys universe. His response? He’s absolutely up for it—but he just needs to find the right role.

“Oh, I don’t know yet,” Kripke admitted. “Whenever I find that character, I’m gonna ask [Jared] to do it. Even if it’s just like a guest star for one episode, I feel like I have to finish my weird little game of Supernatural Pokémon and get him on the show.”

That’s right—Kripke’s not stopping until he’s caught ‘em all!

The Boys: A Superhero Show Like No Other

For those who’ve somehow missed the carnage, The Boys is Prime Video’s wildly popular, hyper-violent, and darkly satirical take on the superhero genre. Based on the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the show follows a ragtag group of vigilantes fighting back against corrupt superheroes, including the terrifyingly unhinged Homelander (Antony Starr). With shocking twists, outrageous gore, and more f-bombs than an entire season of SupernaturalThe Boys has become a must-watch for anyone tired of squeaky-clean, cookie-cutter superheroes.

But the mayhem doesn’t stop there. The Boys has already spawned two spin-offs—The Boys Presents: Diabolical, an animated anthology, and Gen V, which explores the messed-up world of college-age supes. The latter introduced Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, adding yet another Supernatural alum to the mix (because apparently, Kripke just can’t help himself).

Supernatural Stars Invading The Boys

Kripke, who created Supernatural back in 2005, has been steadily filling The Boys with familiar faces from his monster-hunting days. Jensen Ackles made a massive impact in Season 3 as Soldier Boy, a twisted Captain America-type who redefined what it means to have “daddy issues.” Meanwhile, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is set to bring his signature gruff charm to Season 4 as Joe Kessler. Even Nathan Mitchell, who plays Black Noir in The Boys, had a role in Supernatural—further proof that Kripke is assembling his own Winchester-approved cinematic universe.

So, the question remains: Who could Jared Padalecki play in The Boys? A noble supe who gets horribly dismembered in five minutes? A Homelander-obsessed cult leader? Or maybe just a Texas-born cowboy who can throw down with Butcher (Karl Urban) and Hughie (Jack Quaid)? Whatever it is, fans are ready to see him join the madness.

With Season 4 of The Boys set to drop soon and Season 5 already being teased, it’s only a matter of time before Kripke makes good on his promise. Until then, we’ll just have to keep catching ‘em all—one Supernatural alum at a time.
