When Liv Marks joined me on The Movie Dweeb Podcast, I wanted to put her biggest love to the test… No, not her husband, but her love for middle-aged actresses, by having her blindly rank six of her favourites.

After boldly putting the likes of Salma Hayek in at one of the top spots at very early doors, Liv quickly did herself dirty, and was forced to put her idol, the woman she dedicated her actual wedding to, Lady Gaga, in at the bottom spot.

Liv’s blind ranking of her favourite middle-aged actresses were:

• Cate Blanchett
• Halle Berry
• Salma Hayek
• Sandra Bullock
• Anne Hathaway
• Lady Gaga

If you are reading this, Cate Blanchett, in between your time winning Oscars and starring in critically acclaimed films, know that Liv was very, very complimentary of you, as she said, “I’m in love with that woman.

“I am actually in love with her,” she continued. “It’s real. But I’ve never interviewed her, and she is the number one person on my bucket list.”

But if you’re reading this, Lady Gaga, I’d like to sincerely apologise on behalf of Liv Marks, someone who has seen House of Gucci a grand total of 387,194 times, who was forced to put you in the bottom spot of the list.

Don’t feel to disheartened; Liv did admit she hated both herself and me, when the blind ranking was over. And if I can’t get my guests to despise me by the end of the recording, have I really done the podcast properly?
