Pfft. Don’t be so stupid. It’s because I’m hoping I’ll become best friends with an A-lister and they can buy me a swimming pool.
The closest I’ve got is when Jurassic World Dominion star, DeWanda Wise, collaborated with my recent Instagram post. (At this rate, she’s pretty much the best man at my wedding.)
I recently spoke to DeWanda about her latest horror, Imaginary, before asking her about the fan-casting, which would see her as Storm in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
After we posted the clip to our respective Instagram profiles, we were inundated with famous friends commenting. (Okay, she was inundated, but I was also there.)
Many fans were sharing their support of the hopeful MCU casting, including the likes of Queer Eye’s Karamo Brown, but one comment caught my attention – one by Alexandra Shipp, who said “I STAN THIS!!!! 🔥”
The tick, tick… BOOM! actor also said “Iconic ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️”.
Alexandra is seemingly passing the baton on to DeWanda, after she played Storm in the X-Men franchise starting with X-Men: Apocalypse.
When I asked DeWanda about her thoughts on playing Ororo Munroe in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she said, “[Storm] is the only Marvel character I’m interested in. It’s the only Marvel character I’ve ever been interested in.”
