Ever since I finished the final episode of Invincible, there’s been an Omni-Man shaped hole in my heart.
Although, after seeing Omni-Man quite literally put a hole in someone’s heart, that probably was a poor choice of words.
So, when I’m not frantically scouring the internet for any fibre of information about the release date of Invincible’s second season, I’m… Well, forcing the cast into telling me information about the release date.
I was fortunate enough to chat to The Walking Dead’s Khary Payton, who portrays Black Samson in the animated series, and he confirmed that the cast have finished recording their lines for the second season, and are currently working on the third.

“We finished season two, we’re on to season three. But it’s so hard to say right now,” Khary said in regard to the show’s return date. “There was a glut of animation studios just trying to get so much done, and literally, it was like projects sitting there with a backpack full of, you know, material being like, ‘Any time you’re ready.'”
While this means the actors have done their work, that doesn’t mean the series will be airing anytime soon, as the Invincible crew will need to perfect the animation, then there’s marketing, and promo and sound design, and – URGH. We’re not going to get this season until I’m about 73, will we?
