Jonathan Majors Shares Secrets As To How He Filmed He Who Remains Scenes

As The Movie Dweeb, I take pride in my ability to introduce my followers to new films; indie, unearthed gems that many will live their whole lives without knowing.

And today is no different; I’d like to present the Marvel Cinematic Universe to you. This small media franchise features such foreign arthouse films and series as Iron Man, Black Panther and Loki.

Jonathan Majors gave a captivating performance as He Who Remains in the season finale of Loki, setting him up for his role as Kang the Conqueror in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Naturally, with a lot of buzz around him – yes, that was a wasp-based pun – I wanted to find out what I could about Kang, and Jonathan explained that he rehearsed all of his He Who Remains scenes with a family in New Mexico, but – what with it being a Marvel project – he was sworn to secrecy.

“I would throw lines at them to see if they could tell I had shifted a bit,” said the The Harder They Fall star. “I would begin to walk around in New Mexico, because we shot them at the same time. I would walk around and go to my local, and move and talk and walk like He Who Remains, just to rehearse it a bit.”

Jonathan also spoke about the possibility of him taking on the role of James Bond, following his sharp appearance at the No Time To Die premiere.

Speaking of Idris Elba, his The Harder They Fall co-star, taking on the role, Jonathan said that they “both could do it.

“He’ll take it first, as it’s his time, and I’ll come up behind him.”

If you’re reading this, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, I’d like, say, 70% of all profits from the movie when you cast Jonathan. That’s not that much for a finders fee, is it?
