Surviving in the wilderness, resorting to… questionable dining choices, and dealing with all the psychological chaos of Yellowjackets is no small feat. So, how do the cast shake off all that intensity? Simple—they hit the pub.

In an interview with The Movie Dweeb, Simone Kessell (who plays adult Lottie) revealed that the cast would often unwind over dinner and drinks after tough filming days. “We’d all go out to dinner a lot because we’re—” she started, before Tawny Cypress (adult Taissa) cut in with a memory of one particularly messy night.

“Remember when we tried to do karaoke and we just couldn’t get in? We were messy,” Tawny laughed.

Simone confirmed it was 2 a.m., meaning the odds of their success were already slim. But that didn’t stop them from celebrating the end of a tough filming week. “We tie one on,” Simone added.

And because no night out is complete without some questionable song choices, the trio revealed their go-to karaoke tracks, with Simone opting for Tainted Love, Tawny singing The Devil Went Down to Georgia and Lauren Ambrose (adult Van) chose a power ballad queen move in Alone by Heart.

Showtime’s Yellowjackets is equal parts survival thriller, psychological horror, and nostalgia-fueled chaos. The series follows a high school girls’ soccer team whose plane crashes in the wilderness, forcing them into a Lord of the Flies-style battle for survival. In the present day, their adult selves struggle with the very dark secrets they left behind.

Season 3 is set to take things even further (as if things weren’t already insane). With Hilary Swank and Joel McHale joining the cast, expect more mystery, more trauma, and probably more eerie antler-wearing rituals.

As for Simone, Tawny, and Lauren? Whether they’re fighting for survival on screen or butchering karaoke classics off-screen, one thing’s for sure—they know how to bring the drama. And the singalongs, by the sounds of it.
