Austin Butler Sang Beyoncé’s ‘Break My Soul’ With Me

Austin Butler reached dizzying levels of fame when he became Oscar-nominated for portraying Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll.

He has even starred opposite the world’s greatest pop star, Sharpay Evans.

But has his musical career peaked? Definitely not.

Because, backstage, at the Dune junket in London, he and I ended up duetting a Beyoncé song together.

As we were preparing to shoot, I was minding my own business, singing Beyoncé’s anthem, ‘Break My Soul’ when the Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen actor heard me.

After I joked that I was the Beyoncé of the room, he agreed, before asking me if I was a Virgo (the same star sign as Bey, herself.)

At this point, I’d like to issue a formal apology to my coworker, who mentioned she was a Virgo, only for me to straight up throw her out of the way, screaming “It’s about me!”

(Actually, I’m not sorry. It’s Austin Butler.)

I recently spoke to Austin’s Elvis co-star, Kodi Smit-McPhee, who was routing for Austin to win the Academy Award for his performance.

“His transformation is unlike anything I’ve ever seen,” said the Australian actor.

“His performance in this is unlike anything I’ve ever seen even him do… It’s amazing.

“It’s not an impersonation; it’s a transformation. The amount of work that he clearly did in every environment, whether it was dream-work or however he immersed himself within Elvis, he did it with a great amount of effort and great amount of success from what I’ve seen.

“It felt like the closest experience to virtually being with Elvis,” Kodi continued. “It was a joy to watch him work every day.”
