Whenever I think of Christmas, I think of the two things that were always – without fail – on my Christmas list; LEGO and Star Wars.

I also think about the time I got so drunk on a Christmas Eve pub crawl that I threw up on a neighbour’s car and slept in a wheelie bin, but that’s beside the point.

This year, Disney+ have miraculously saved 2020 with LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, an animated special based on the three Star Wars trilogies, set to debut on Disney+ on 17 November.

Set directly after The Rise of Skywalker, a (now-plastic version of) Rey sets off on a new adventure, and is suddenly hurled through time and, well, you guessed it, space, as she enters different moments from the Star Wars saga.

Rey meets a young Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and even an adorable LEGO The Child. Just when I thought The Child couldn’t get any cuter. The Mandalorian’s The Child looks like straight-up garbage in comparison now.

Original stars, including Kelly Marie Tran, Billy Dee Williams and Anthony Daniels reprise their roles of Rose Tico, Lando Calrissian and C-3PO respectively.

In the words of Mariah Carey’s hit, all I want for Christmas is you every single playset from LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special.
